I thought this was a rather clever sign from the city advertising their program to have a tree planted in front of your home for free. There is a big push on here to plant more trees in the city.

Similar program here also, but the city only pays for native trees. That is a lovely sign. It made me smile.

I used to love visiting a beech forest down here
More trees is good, especially to deal with summer heat. Building housing on small blocks of land leaving no space for trees and the return for developers who demolish old houses with extensive gardens and build as many apartments as they can get away with, has led to a disastrous loss of tree cover in my city.
I like this very much. I am a big fan of trees.

This is great!
A good program. But it seems that for every new tree that is planted, another is cut down. It is a real battle.
