A Neighbourhood Library

This is the Weston Library which is in the Weston neighbourhood of the city. Weston was a small farm town outside the city but many years ago the city grew and engulfed it. The library was built in 1914 with a Carnegie Foundation grant and still retains the style of those times.

That's a beautiful building. The Carnegie Foundation built lots of libraries around that time.

Yes, the Eastern cities in particular grew and grew and absorbed the neighboring towns and farm country. A handsome photo. Thank you Pat. Aloha

Looks good! Ours has two floors, all with glass, I just cannot walk up there... Well, up, yes, but down is a problem. This one I would visit!

It has a bit of Frank Lloyd Wright's prairie style in its roof . The architect at the time had studied that well. Also the copper on the front entrance is something he used.
