A Wee Beastie
I found this little guy above a window on a restored Victorian house in the Annex area. I am not sure what type of beastie he is (dragon, devil, ??) but I quite like him and it looks as if at some point ivy may have been growing over him but he has now been freed. Wonderful broken brick detail around him too!

Beautiful detail, you're right. Love the color too.

Looks venomous and not a little scary. But being inanimate I think he's not really as fearsome as he looks. So, we can love him for what he is - a very nice sculpture. That too some fine masonry work, too.
Love the details of his body, looks like a criss/crossed scale of a fish! Funny how we see things differently!
Well done!
I'm a dragon lover, they are much more fun than dinosaurs, aren't they?! ;-)
p.s.: check your messages. ;-)
I do like the broken brick background here. I think it's a dragon, but - like you - I'm not sure.
Dragon gargoyles are so neat, but I don't often see one on a house. He'd look good with some bright green ivy off-setting the brick red, maybe it will grow back. Nicely seen Red.
If it's meant to scare evil spirits it probably worked.
In some mythologies there seems to be such a thing as a dragon carp but I didn't turn up much info and didn't find any images that resemble this thingy.
What fun! Good eye!
Well spotted. He is very detailed, isn't he?
When enlarged he looks more friendly. Wonderful details.
I'm going with dragon. Nice find.
Very intricate and detailed, well spotted!
I adore some of the details they used to have in that era, wonderful find Pat.
Un detalle precioso. Buena captura.
I also like it and the broken brick is quite original.
I like this detail and it's surroundings.
What a find! I think he's a dragon. :)
And this is terrific! And, yes, the broken bits surrounding him are a nice contrast.
A dragon pup? :-) Wonderful!
Nice find.
It looks like an Basilisk.
