Crazy Bird Footprints
Despite the fact that my mother has 3 bird feeders in her garden some of the birds such as the Juncos prefer to forage for their food. You can see all their crazy trails in the garden where they have been chasing after seeds from the Echinacea that have been left for the birds as a food source.

Some birds don't learn
I have huge bird tracks in my yard when the hawk comes to make a meal of the little Juncos :(
That is neat to see.
How Sweet
so darn cute.
Have always thought it's so odd when birds prefer being on the ground. If I could fly .... Our daughter scatters seed on the ground and gets a lot of birds that way.
I think that is actually some ancient hieroglyphics which need to be decoded.
I thought your comment was great today but you didn't finish: "Gimme a P, gimme an A, gimme a T." Oh, no. That won't work. But it's close enough!
Lowell cracks me up!
Big dog and now crazy birds! ;-)
They have certainly been busy.
I've seen patterns like that in the snow around feeders. It's just the way of the birds!
What's a Junco?
This is very dear, particularly the marks where they seem to be engaging in cross country skiing.
Someone had alot of energy.
Looks like they were waltzing!
Perhaps it's the yellows birds from the downtown murals. :)
These steps are known, Pat;)
Have a good weekend.
a kiss.
I love the patters their little feet make. Most juncos are ground feeders, although I have a couple at my feeders who now fly up to get sustenance as well as eat seeds that we place below for them.
Just one more thing that I'll never see around Perth due to lack of snow Pat :) I'll have to make do with footprints on the beach!
Really cool!
