At this time of year many of us in the northern hemisphere start craving colour and with that in mind here is a pic of one of the stained glass windows from the St Joseph Chapel at Regis College, the location of the stairway I showed you on Sunday. The chapel was originally part of St Joseph's School and was built in the 1960s with the windows being good examples of the 60s style.
I never gave it any thought but after viewing all these "vortex" photos coming out from the midwest and beyond, I guess color would be a prized commodity.
You are so right about missing colour at this time of the year. I hadn't thought of filling the void with stained glass. I'm off to visit a church or two

Yup, thanks for the colour burst Pat- you have lifted my side of the northern hemisphere!
Another must see when I am in Toronto!
Can't beat a good dash of colour, and this window certainly supplies that!

I don't blame you for craving color and you've found a good way to get some. Beautiful window.
Stained-glass windows always brighten my day! Interesting symbolism here.
That a day brightener!
The sun must be shining at least even if it's cold -- cuz that window just glows!
Pretty colors. :)
Great example of modern stained glass, the reflections inside the room must be amazing when the sun is shining.
Oh, I like that. Actually I love stained glass. If I built my own house I'd commission one.
That's amazing work in that stain glass.
You are right - craving colour. And this is a beautiful window.
You have a sun and a blue sky and loads of color. What is there to complain about? Except maybe the temperature . . .
Beautiful design.

Beautiful!
Beautiful ... I love the stained glass!!!
Beautifully designed window!
«Louis» understands that craving for color the northern climes cause in the winter!
Stained glass is, as you imply, as good antidote - and, yes, the window you show is very true to the '60s style.
:-)
I really do enjoy these colors.
