St Andrews Lutheran Church

St Andrews Church is located downtown on Jarvis St and is bordered by Allan Gardens which was the location of yesterday's post. The Gothic-style church was built in 1878 using stone from the Credit Valley and brick and has many lovely stained glass windows which I will try to shoot one day. The church was built for a Presbyterian congregation but has been Lutheran since 1951.
Taking part in Inspired Sunday. Click here for more religious buildings.

Lutheran «Louis» likes it! :-)

«Louis» posted Grace Cathedral, San Francisco along with the musical odyssey of Thomas Tallis' Third Mode Theme from chant tone to hymn to fantasia.

You did well to fit it all into one frame, great shot... and church!

It's fun for me seeing photos from my home town.
Great shot! I only learned recently and because of inSPIREd Sunday that Lutheran church doors are always red.

I love old churches. I wish I could stop and photograph all the ones I see around here. Maybe I should make that a project!

A very typical structure from a certain era...in the States, too. And many of these were quite beautiful inside.
