Dovercourt Village

The business association in the Dovercourt Village neighbourhood commissioned the artist Elicser to paint this mural along the side of a corner grocery store. It's rather nice how it shows the style of houses found in the area as well as showing a store owner unpacking boxes while being hugged by a little child.
Taking part in Monday Murals. Click here for more murals.

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone!

It's almost like you could walk into it.

It certainly is attractive in the sense it does show off the neighborhood. I'd like to know more about Dovercourt Village.

A fine shot of this interesting mural. The artist did a very good job of depicting the neighborhood.

It's full of character, like how the snow sits in the foreground and becomes part of the mural!

I like to see those electricity boxes(?) making part of the mural. And I like the mural! :-)

I like how the storage (road salt?) boxes have been incorporated into the mural.

Whatever the boxes might be, they blend well into the mural. It's a very colourful, dynamic painting!

The triangle theme he's chosen is also a nice touch.

Loving the mural. Thanks for explaining the hugging kid. I thought the man was carrying a head! My bad. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

It is a lovely mural, a positive addition to the neighborhood. Also it is become unusual to find a "corner" grocery store any more. They are to be treasured.

It's like a real street and I love how it is complimented by the snow (the fact that it's dirty adds to the colour scheme somehow!)

Its beautifully painted Pat, you wonder how artists get the perspective so perfectly when they're doing such a big work!
