It's A Scratch

This space was once a nice art gallery called Scratch Gallery and then became Scratch Espresso Cafe but now the space sits empty, it seems although there is a painting sitting in the window. The quirky sign by the artist Elicser remains however as a reminder of things past. I like his little birdhouse on the left side, and also this pic gives you an idea of just how dirty snow becomes along a roadway in the city!

Very stylish.

Interesting how the art, in this case, has outlasted the businesses.

Cute mural. The snow looks like ours, it's going to be melting over the next few days!

It's a cute mural. That snow shows the downside of a nice covering of snow. It soon becomes a dirty pile around the streets. I suppose in the country, it's stays nice and white in the fields.

That's a great mural. Too bad none of the businesses succeeded in this location. Somehow the dirty snow fits well into your photo.

It's too bad the place shut down but I do like the art work - esp. the birdhouse.

That's what I hated most about winter - snowy slush turned to muddy ice that dirtied everything - esp. the cars!

How sad this place has shut down. It looks cute! I really like the way the address number has been integrated into the guy's shirt.

Such a great sign...sad the building is vacated. Hope someone takes it over soon.

The birdhouse is my fav part....yeah, nobody ever shows dirty snow! Thanks for being honest. I liked your wrong link too but did wonder where the sign was ;)))

Maybe a new business will open there using the name Scratch. The snow is indeed awful looking at this time, isn't it?!

Looks a small space. The mural sign is interesting.

The artwork is rather nice. Let's hope a hip entrepreneur will pass by and think of a good new use for the store.

Can't help but wonder what the next iteration will be. Hopefully it will have "scratch" in its name.

I do hope it has a new life soon. Maybe a craft gallery?

It's a pity when places like this close their doors. I like the birdhouse too. ;-)

Be interesting to see what it becomes third time round Pat.. Seems such a shame to waste that cool mural :)
P.s. The birdcage is so sweet!

So cool! The reflections in the window is a terrific bonus. I guess what we see in foreground is snow, right? :-)

I like the drawing Pat ... No snow ice blocks in the street is dangerous.
