Weston Stained Glass

All of the windows in the Weston Public Library have stained glass created by the Robert McCausland Ltd company in 1914.  Of the 24 windows, 23 have the name of an author in the banner while one has a blank banner - no one knows why. They are wonderfully suitable for a library don't you think?

Extra info:  Robert McCausland Ltd is a 5th generation family owned company that is the oldest stained glass company in the western hemisphere and was founded in Toronto in 1856.

That is perfect! Love the colors, too and the trees in the background.

Beautiful, perfect place to have them too... browse the books, then pause to admire the stained glass!

Oh that's lovely with all the trees in the background!

I agree. Even without the authors' names, they'd be a lovely, warm touch.

Oh, how you've got me wondering about the blank window. Maybe Tex is right, it's for bloggers. :-)

Beautiful stained glass. Pat.
Sorry about the translator. We vacation a few days to Gijon, we'll be back soon ;)

Great idea for library windows, perhaps a modern author will be added one day.

Always loved stained glass, and this window is exceptional. How appropriate for a library.

I guess there should always be an "empty seat at the table".

Nice window. I think it needs a little more blue.

Absolutely perfect for their situation Pat.

AH, one without an author's name. I like mysteries. Maybe the person who commissioned the windows likes mysteries too. ;
