A Grand Entrance

I first showed you this church conversion in March of 2012 (HERE) and have shown a few detail shots since then. Last week I was passing by the entrance of the front unit and thought how beautiful it looked. This is the largest of the 4 units in the church at 10,000 sq ft! And this has to be one of the best restoration projects I have seen in the city.

Strong! And high. No child can climb over it. Nice to see.

My favourite architectural feature, the arches! Excellent restoration Pat, it's always such a joy when cities, like our two 😃 show these old treasures due respect!

What a fine row of Romanesque windows. Always liked the looks of this style of architecture.

Pretty good trick to convert this space into other uses.
