Lunchtime

I caught this little Downy Woodpecker with a mouth full off suet. They are quite common sights in the city and make quite a noise when they hammer away on trees despite their small size!

Nice shot, Pat! I like the bird feeder, too. I've not seen one like that before. It gives the birds some easy places to hang on while chomping down the suet.

Oh my, what a cutie and I really like that crafty design he's holding on to. We have a few around here, and did I mention we have a daffy one that enjoys hammering on our metal ladder? Silly right?

What a great shot. At least with the suet feeder he doesn't have to hammer to get to the good stuff.

What a wonderful photo. I love woodpeckers, except when they start hammering away on my house!
