Caught With A Mouthful

I haven't seen many chickadees around all summer until the last week. I hope that isn't a sign that winter is going to come despite all the heat we have had. This little guy was certainly getting a belly full of those seeds!

What a sweet little bird at the buffet!

That's a nice feeder, too. But I've never found one that could keep the squirrels out. They eat the food before the birds get to it!

The bird is enjoying the seeds when he knows there won't be any crowds. Fill it up please :)

After setting records for heat this summer, I'm anticipating some record lows to follow.

I have a group of 5 chickadees here - they have been taking seeds from my hand this summer. I hope they stick around for the winter. Lovely to see your chickadee too!
