Lantern In Snow

I showed you this stone house back in January (HERE) and mentioned the lantern with a real flame and decided I should go back if we got some snow to get a pic of the lantern in the snow. Well, I didn't get there until the next afternoon after our snow fall so some had melted but I still like the effect of the lantern giving a warm welcome to the house.

I like your fine idea for a shot and the resulting picture, P

I do too! It's easy to imagine how almost all the houses might have had gas lanterns 200 years ago.

I see your wish came true Pat 😊 How different the two shots but the house is indeed solid and beautiful all year round. Unusual to have a real flame isn't it?

Great looking lantern in front of this impressive stone house, but from the look of the snow on the roof they could use more attic insulation.
