This is one of several cast cement lions that are found outside of the Liberty Grand building at Exhibition Place. I've shown you a few shots of the building in the last few days. The lions look quite stately don't you think?
Lions, even those made of cement, can have a certain majesty about them. Of course, they look pretty funny when their nose is chipped off or someone has taken a chunk of their ear. I guess I'd look pretty funny, too, if those things happened to me. Not that I have a certain majesty or anything. 😃

...something to roar about.
Mostly cement is used for more simple solutions and not asfierce as this lion. Nice.
He does look majestic even in stone
They do Pat, very regal! Lovely composition here.
Lions always make a place look important and regal.
Hello, I agree he is majestic. Great shot. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and the new week ahead!
Very eloquently put, Pat - "Stately Lion" indeed.
Good looking' boy :)
Have a Happy Sunday!
Peace :)
I remember seeing Clyde Beatty at the CNE Grandstand Show with the real thing. Now I am really dating myself.
Imposing and regal!

Whoever heard of lions in Toronto? :-)
It has an Egyptian look, I think, like The Sphinx (if it had a lion's head). Hope you are having a great day!
The lion isn't smiling, I guess I've never seen a lion smile. :) He's a quite imposing figure though.
They always do look very classic, wherever I see them.
You're not lyin'. (insert groan here)
They do look very stately and are similar to a pair outside our arts center!
Regal!
That lion looks very proud!
