"Meet Me At The Fountain"
This fountain in the Exhibition grounds is the traditional meeting place during the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) that takes place here from the middle of August until Labour Day every year. The fountain is called the Princess Margaret Fountain and the Princess attended the opening of the fountain in 1958 when it replaced the original one that had been there since 1911. That domed building behind it was built in 1907 as the Horticulture building but it now serves as a night club and event venue.

...OK!
Gosh that's a different use for the Horticulture building Pat but good that it's getting used. You've captured the fountain beautifully, love the motion of the water flowing over ✨
I really like the way you composed this shot with the fountain front and center and the Horticulture building behind. It is a beautiful fountain! I'm a bit pained that the building is now being used a a nightclub. But that's better than nothing, I guess. It's just looks too elegant for a nightclub venue. :)
That's how a fountain must be. Modern ones are sometimes not looking like one.
I like the look of this fountain very much. I like the way the water sort of sweeps over the side. Very nice.
cool fountain
Quite an impressive fountain!
You brought back sweet memories. I would march in the Labour Day Parade and then meet the wife and the kids at the fountain.
Lovely! I like the way you photographed it.
Beautiful!
Well photographed fountain!
Nice fountain, nice photo, I like it Pat!
Fine meeting place. In Chicago it is, "Meet me under the clock." That always was the clock in front of Marshall Field & Co on State Street. Lovely fountain.
Same deal in Stockholm, although that famous meeting place is under a "mushroom".
The flowers really help set it off.
I wish I could if I were a bit closer! Pretty view here.
A lovely place to meet you today, Pat
