I watched this cat scamper up and down the large branches of this tree for several minutes as it stalked a squirrel. He was no match for a squirrel in a tree especially since the cat had a bell on its collar. When it looked over and saw me he seemed to be embarrassed and gave up the hunt and came down and walked away as if nothing had been going on.

What a cutie.
Cats are good at pretending innocence!
Have a great weekend!
...on the lookout!
My neighbour's elderly cat still has his hunting gene intact. He crouches down near my back gate watching the birds just on the other side - and then he pounces - except that it takes him several seconds to struggle under the gate, by which time the birds have flown!
Cats are born hunters.
Beautiful cat. Too bad they prey, even if they're not hungry. We have a lot of loose neighbors ’cats here that prey on the birds in our yard. Cats also climb to the roof of the outdoor building, trying to reach the birdhouses.
"I was just exercising, not hunting" that's what he wanted you to think. Cute.
He-he! No doubt.
hehehe, cute story, he arrived with "bells on"!! it's a beautiful cat, at a quick first glance i thought it was a fox!!
my neighbor has a lot of cats and they hunt my little birds. they are rarely successful!!!
Cats love the hunt even if it is not successful. Squirrels can always stay ahead of cats in trees. You were able to get a fine shot of this cat in its natural environment.
At least it had a bell.
The hunter’s expression looks menacing 😀
At least he was able to get down without being rescued by the fire brigade.
Embarrassed, how... sorry, cute!
No change to get a squirrel but it keeps them fit.
What a beautiful cat and a neat pose! They really are fun to watch!
That is SO cat!
Hello;:=) A cat is no match for a squirrel, but it's a pretty cat, and a good photo.
Look at those eyes! So serious.
Que lindo. Salió a saludarte :))
Un abrazo.
