Another Lovely Lady

I found this mural of an older lady painted on the side of a building in Kensington Market and thought that she was quite lovely. Not the usual subject matter of murals and graffiti it feels to me as if the artist painted someone they knew and liked - I love her face!

Full of character on otherwise dull brieze blocks!

I feel the same way, I think the artist painted someone that is really special for him. ;-)

I agree with you...this could be a mother or aunt or close friend but there's so much specific detail in the face that I'd say this is a real person. Well done!

I would agree that this must be a portrait of a real person.

It is a touching tribute. I wonder why the person's name is not given.

So, you needed some color today? Hope tomorrow is better.

Definitely not what you usually see as wall art. But I do like her! She has a certain sense of sereinity.
