I'm back to the Ossington Ave laneway to another of the murals that were painted on most of the garage doors in order to discourage taggers. This one is by the artist Horus who has done a lot of street art around the city. It would be nice to be greeted by this lovely rose when entering your garage!
Taking part in Monday Murals. Click here to see more murals.

Interesting style, has an almost tatoo feel to it. I agree so nice to come home to.
Lovely, we have some great street art in Toronto.
I agree - my first thought was it looks like a tattoo!
A rose is a rose even on a garage door! While it's very well done, I don't think I'd want it on my garage door. I like to call less attention to myself rather than more. :)
Yep, looks like a giant tatto! It's terrific!
It looks like a tatoo. Cool!
that's really lovely! like jm said, looks like a tattoo!
I love the vibrant, almost 3d colours. It leaps right out at you!
I'm sure you smiled when you saw it. I did. :)
Anything that deters tagging is a good thing ... this one just needs a scratch and sniff feature to release the aroma of the rose.
We see garage doors with a mural painted on them here too, but this one is really original!
Wonder if the garage owner got to choose the mural? Nice find.
I like the image, much better than a graffiti wall.
Quite a nice design!
WAY better than graffiti all over the door, but -- as you know -- I would be happier with a plain, single-color garage door.
Looks like a big tattoo.
Very nice.
Nicely done! I wonder if the owner pointed to his or her arm and said, "Make it look like this!" I'm glad taggers leave other artists' work alone.
It does have that classic tattoo look to it Pat, very nice and a very cool way to discourage tagging!
oo nice! Reminds of 70s airbrush art that used to be o t shirts everywhere.
I love this positive step to accomplish the goal!
Nicely done!
