Photo Of The Year

I chose this pic for the City Daily Photo Blogs' New Year's theme since our City Hall is such a symbol of the city and there has been so much controversy and uproar there this year. I like this pic with the Ai Weiwei Ox since he was such a large presence in Toronto this year with 2 separate installations in the square at City Hall and also the large show at the AGO (Art Gallery Of Ontario).
Happy New Year to all and let us all hope for a peaceful and healthy year ahead!

A good choice, RedPat. I would love to see your mayor and our cocaine-snorting Congressman announcing their retirements together.

Yes very good choice, not only because it's a fab image but because it's so symbolically important also, nice work Pat. All the very best for 2014.

Great choice. This photo is beautiful not only for the art work but the fountain and buildings behind it. It kind of brings back that feeling of summer. Happy New Year.

Lovely photo for your "Photo of the Year." I've always been impressed with the work of Ai Weiwei, but didn't know about the Ox.

That was a nice exhibit they had this summer. I wish I could be there to see the others, but I guess there will be some nice displays here in Berlin too! Hope Mr. Ford isn't getting into too much trouble yet. I can't really imagine that he will be reelected next year, but then again I can sort of believe it. :)

Happy New Year Redpat. Had a few days away so busy catching up. This is a great photo, sums up the contrasting sides of modern Toronto perfectly.

An outstanding choice, Pat!

Now if only the drug addled idiot and his brother will finally leave. I'm beyond disgusted with the way they're dragging the country through the mud, and baffled by how devoted their fans are.
