Birds On A Column

I found these birds on the columns of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help church on St Clair Ave and was really impressed by the detail in the birds and the good condition of the decoration. I had shown you the church (click HERE) back in October and you can see the columns at the front door.

I loved the arched columns Pat and it's the details that make them all the more special. Thanks for showing.

Beautiful. And perfectly symmetrical.

Those menacing faces will keep pesky pigeons away, I bet.

They are very well done. Wish I had that kind of artistic talent. But I must say they are somewhat fearsome - from the hawk family perhaps?

Two of my favorite things, birds and a column, in one picture. I love it!

Great carved eagle details. I wish modern buildings had more decoration.
