Old Schoolhouse
And here we see the Enoch Turner Schoolhouse and its accompanying heritage sign which I showed you yesterday. The wonderful Gothic Revival building houses a museum but also a large open space available to the public which is used for many events including wedding receptions and art shows.

Has the lines of a chapel. I did a lot of praying, for grades, in school.

I like Birdman's comment, only he didn't pray for grades. When he was teaching, he prayed every day, "Lord, if possible, take this cup from me," usually just before lunch. I know, 'cause I did the same thing. :)
The building has an elegant grandeur to it and it certainly could function as a chapel if it wanted to do so.
This doesn't disappoint at all! It's lovely and now I'm imagining the kids who sat inside in 1849!

One of my best friends was married here in the 80's . Beautiful place. I've found your blog through the Grow Your Blog Party and another Canadian blogger. I live in Hamilton now after relocating from Toronto 1 1/2 years ago. I'm enjoying getting to know an up and coming city but still enjoy Toronto. I'll be following you to keep up with the city. If you follow me you'll hear bits and pieces about Hamilton which is becoming a very interesting place for artists.
That looks very small to have been a schoolhouse, but it is built impressively.
