These two houses in the Yorkville neighbourhood are connected by that opening in the middle that leads to both their back gardens. I always wonder which house gets the nice room over the opening!
Now that is a good question. It is a rather strange way to build a house but if I recall correctly, I saw something similar to this not far from where I live.

Maybe they flipped a coin? Or maybe the one with the room up above cost twice as much as the other? It's intriguing for sure.
