Symbol Bike Ring
This is another of the bike rings designed by the students of Bloor Collegiate and installed along Bloor St W near the school. This peace symbol was designed by Gerald Holtom in 1958 for the British nuclear disarmament movement and the symbol itself comes from the semaphore signs for N and D. I had no idea it was such an old symbol!

This has got to be one of the most recognised signs ever Pat, just a shame there isn't any more peace in the world now as there was then, maybe even less today sadly.

Bike parking has another great piece of art to use. It will get people thinking about peace hopefully even if its only for a second or two.
