What's For Lunch?

I was sitting on a park bench having lunch on one of our rare warm days recently when this fearless Canada Goose decided that I should share a bit. It took a while for him to give up!

There was a time when these guys where afraid of people. Now they are part of life in the city.

They can be pesky and certainly adamant about what they want. At least it didn't nip you. But you didn't share your lunch with the poor baby? :))

Quite a goose! One doesn't always get that close to them- at least not without it going badly.

Geese are fast learners, and if they have received handouts in the past they will expect them from everyone, especially someone eating lunch. Hope you didn't feed this goose. They have plenty of natural food more suited to their accustomed diet.

A worldwide situation I'm afraid, over here it's very aggressive seagulls pinching people's ice cream or sandwiches while they are eating them!
