Camera

I was walking along the railway right of way in mid-town Toronto when I spotted this mural with its subject matter familiar to us all. It has weathered a bit but I think it may have been painted in 2001 so it is actually doing fairly well. I couldn't figure out the artist at all. I haven't seen a roll of film in a while!

Oh wow, that does look familiar. Photography was an expense hobby back in those "film" days.

A rare subject!

Neat image, love the way the camera "pops" out! I was still using film back in 2001.

... and those flash squares. A second-hand shop maybe.

Makes me smile. My daughter bought me a tee-shirt that says "caution, I may snap at any moment."

Now, this is a mural that I get. The 3D effect of the camera coming off the wall and right at you is amazing. Love the old film painting in the background.

Ah yes, and shooting is so much better than it was! I don't miss those days at all!

Just like vinyl has enjoyed a big comeback, shooting film is on the rise again. Really. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

I don't miss trying to get the film into the camera and later finding out it never caught on the notches inside. Love digital cameras. Great mural!
