Service Dept

When you have a 1960s bank building and you gut it, add rusty metal sheets to the wall, steel tables, and comfy banquettes you can end up with a great place for a few beers and something to eat. And since this is Canada, always have a hockey game going on the TV in the background!

sometimes these re-purposing jobs turn out really great. I had lunch with a friend in Mesa a few months ago at a re-purposed bank building. In fact, the friend worked in that building when it was a bank many years ago. I thought they did a great job on it.

I like the industrial look. Shame that there is no Canadian team in the finals this year (but well done on the IIHF over the Finns!!)

It looks a cool place. Over here it would be a football game on the screen.

I like the looks of the sign. Seems like a great place to meet friends after work to socialize.

I like the metal sheets on the wall. That is creative thinking.

This is wonderful. I would definitely make frequent visits just for the atmosphere. What a great idea for repurposing a structure.

Interesting place, Pat :)
Also here in Italy we have in many places a TV in the background, not with hockey, but with soccer...

That is a great looking place, RedPat. I'll bet it is a popular place. How come the legendary Toronto Maple Leafs have become awful?

An interesting place to relax with a coffee. I really like those lights hanging down. There can be no doubt where the Service Department is
