I found another of the Bookmarks, this one at Christie Pits Park. You can read more about the Project Bookmark Canada HERE but basically it places excerpts from books and poems in the exact location where they are set. This one is from THE Five Books of Moses Lapinsky by author Karen X. Tulchinsky and this part takes place near the baseball diamond in the park which is slightly visible behind the bookmark. This one is bookmark #8.

I happened upon another of the bookmarks from the Project Bookmark Canada movement (info HERE) when walking up Grace St a few weeks ago. The project places parts of texts at the exact physical location as they appear in the fictional world. This one is #6 in the series and is an excerpt from Fugitive Pieces by Anne Michaels. I'll have to get a good pic of Grace St soon.

Yesterday's Bookmark was located out at the front entrance to Casa Loma which features in Dennis Lee's poetry. We don't have any snow and ice now but a couple of weeks ago I had to walk gingerly across the ice to get this pic.
I spotted another of the bookmarks erected by Project Bookmark Canada, this one the first children's bookmark. It was unveiled in 2016 and is The Cat And The Wizard by Dennis Lee who is a Toronto author well known for his children's poetry. I'll show you the location tomorrow.

While I was wandering along the Danforth a couple of weeks ago I happened upon another of the Bookmarks from the Project Bookmark Canada endeavor which places parts of texts at the exact physical location as they are set in the fictional world. This one is from "In The Skin Of A Lion" by Michael Ondaatje, a Booker Prize-winning author, and the location is right beside the Prince Edward Viaduct which I will show you tomorrow. This one is Bookmark #1 and I think there are a few more in Toronto which I will have to look for.

Project Bookmark Canada "brings together real & imagined landscapes by placing text from stories & poems in the exact physical locations where those literary scenes are set". There are a few of them located in Toronto and I spotted this one by the U of Toronto campus at St George & Bloor St where this poem by Ken Babstock is set.
