I wandered down a laneway that I hadn't checked out for a while and spotted a garage door painted by Uber5000 starring his wonderful yellow birds. He often seems to be placing the wee guys at the seashore lately so here we have an octopus appearing in the middle. I like the pirate bird in the background!

Mural Interrupted
I spotted this mural along a laneway and at first thought it was intact but as you can see the mural has been infringed upon by several windows, doors and an air conditioner unit. It looks like several different artists each did a section such as the lady with the window in her face that was done by Shalak. I think there is one of the wee yellow birds by UB5000 behind another of the windows. I wish I had seen the whole thing before.

A Bird Commission
One of the wee birds I've been showing the past couple of days has been busy doing a commission for Above Ground Art Supplies and it looks as if he has done a fine job!

Artist Details
I do love these wee birds! This is a closer shot of the guys at the right in yesterday's pic. One guy is enjoying a bit of surf while the rest work.

Little Yellow Bird Artists
It has been a while since I posted any of UB5000's little yellow birds so I have pulled this from my archives as you can see by the green leaves in the background. I love all the wee artists at work and I will show you a closer shots of the guys working on the right tomorrow but I liked how the whole thing flows together so am showing this long shot today.

Little Yellow Artists
I haven't posted any of UB5000's little yellow birds for a while but I recently happened upon some new murals that he has done. This one showing wee yellow birds as artists is on the side of stairs leading into an art supply store near Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD), just off Queen St West. I love how the little guys are working together to get this painting of dogs in a canoe done!

A Little Visitor
I was wandering around near St Clair Ave when I spotted one of UB5000's little yellow birds on one of the posts of a front porch on a home. It is a paste-up and it made me wonder how it would get to such a spot - could this be where the artist lives, or maybe a friend? I'm sure it gives everyone passing by a bit of a smile.

Little Yellow Birds Detail
This is a close-up shot of the right side of yesterday's mural. This section was in deep shade and partially blocked by the trees but I wanted to show the cute little details of birds canoeing and riding a rubber tube as well as having a big cup of something. Perfect for its location in this parkette which has a large kids playground!

Little Yellow Birds & Friends
I haven't seen any new yellow birds by UB5000 for awhile and then I happened upon this mural in a parkette along Dundas St. I love all the little details he has put into this one. I'll show you a close-up of the part blocked by the trees tomorrow!

More Yellow Birds
This is the same utility box as yesterday showing the view from the other side. I still can't decide which side I like best although the cool dude bird with the shades is rather fun! Which do you like?

Another Little Yellow Bird
With the horrible winter we have had, I haven't been out wandering as much as usual and as a result haven't seen any new yellow birds by UB5000 until this week when I spotted this decorated utility box and did a quick U-turn. Located in front of a community centre, it seems to be promoting reading which is a good thing. I couldn't decide on which side to show so tomorrow I will post the other view!

Friend On Your Shoulder
It's been a while since I posted one of UB5000's little yellow birds so I thought I should remedy that with this post of a very sweet-looking little guy that I found in a laneway along Queen St West. Just the kind you would like to have on your side!

Definitely Something Fishy
This is the building where I found yesterday's mural (far down along the right just out of the frame). This type of building which is totally in the laneway (no street frontage at all) between Queen St and Richmond St is super desirable here in Toronto both for residential and for commercial usage and they sell for big bucks in our expensive real estate market . I get the feeling that this one is all commercial and probably something creative, based on the decision to cover the whole facade in such a cool manner!

Something Fishy
I happened upon more work by UB5000 in the graffiti laneway behind Queen St West although this time I could find no little yellow birds. There are a lot of yellow fish to see along with all kinds of other sea life doing various activities - check out that poker game. He has painted over the whole exterior of the building which is exposed to the laneway and I will give you a shot of that tomorrow.

Hideout Patio
I was hunting for murals when I spotted this one by UB5000 but I must say that the building really attracts a lot of attention from me. It has lovely proportions and seems to have been well-restored as this is a very old part of town and the buildings require so much upkeep. No yellow birds on this side - he kept them all on the back wall which I showed you yesterday. I'm not sure what the significance of the octopus is - I may have to do a reconnaissance trip to this bar to find out!

The Hideout
This is the section of the wall above yesterday's cat artist. It is located on the back wall of a Queen St rock and roll bar called the Hideout and UB5000 was commissioned to paint a large mural along the side of the bar facing their patio. Somehow I like this whimsical assortment of creatures including the wee yellow birds but I will show you the more formal mural tomorrow.

Cat Street Artist
Another piece by UB5000 which I found in a laneway just off Queen St, this time featuring one of his cats. And this cat seems to be in the process of creating some street art on this wall. There are actually some of his little yellow birds up high along this wall and I will show them tomorrow but in the meantime isn't this cat great!

Big Yellow Bird Part 2
This is the long second part of yesterday's mural that our big yellow bird is pointing to in yesterday's pic. A couple of other familiar cartoon characters have made an appearance here and there also seems to be some additional signatures on the wall so maybe UB5000 had some collaborators on this one. It's quite a wall and the home owners must have commissioned it since it is so large and so detailed.

BIg Yellow Bird
I finally tracked down this very big yellow bird, and smaller friends, by UB5000 which I think has been painted just recently on the side of a house and running the whole length along the laneway. I'll show you the other half of this one tomorrow. You have to love his yellow birds!

Having A Party
I have discovered some more of the little yellow birds by artist UB5000 and this time he has combined them with an assortment of faces and little fishes too. The bird on the boombox reminds me of a happy DJ so it could be a party going on! I like the wee high five bird down in the bottom right.
