I spotted this sculpture by artist Patrick Amiot a few weeks ago in the Yorkville neighbourhood. I really like his fun sculptures and you can see more if you click on the Amiot label below. This guy looks so pleased with his catch.

Hockey Playoffs
It is playoff season for the NHL so this sculpture by artist Patrick Amiot was quite suitable when it was displayed outside a gallery in the Yorkville neighbourhood. All the sports bars are happy this week.

Friends
I spotted this pair of friends outside of a gallery in the Yorkville neighbourhood which shows the work of junk artist Patrick Amiot so I am sure it is one of his pieces. Amiot constructs the pieces and his wife Brigitte Laurent paints them. Click on the Amiot label to see more.

Mad Hatter
I was pleased to spot this sculpture of the Mad Hatter outside of a gallery in the Yorkville neighbourhood. The artist is Patrick Amiot who uses recycled metal for his pieces which are then painted by his wife Brigitte Laurent. I love their work and you can see some more by clicking on the Amiot label below.

Benched
This is another sculpture by Patrick Amiot (click the label below to see more) which was out front of a gallery in the Yorkville neighbourhood. This depicts one of our beloved Toronto Maple Leafs players. Hockey is probably finished for the season as are all other sports.

"Do Not Rock THe Chair"
I thought I had better post this one before winter disappears for us. This is another sculpture by Patrick Amiot & Brigitte Laurent and it was found outside a gallery In the Yorkville neighbourhood while a bit of snow was falling. I always love the humour in their work. You can see several more of their pieces if you click the Amiot label below.

Colourful Creatures
We can all use a bit of colour at this time of year and so it is nice to find a sculpture like this one by Patrick Amiot. He is a Canadian who now lives in California and makes his pieces from junk metal and then they are painted by his wife Brigitte Laurent. I would love to own this one!

Superhero
I was walking through the Yorkville neighbourhood last week and spotted a superhero outside of a gallery. This Batman is the work of Patrick Amiot who is originally from Montreal but now lives in California. Amiot uses junk metal to create his works and then they are painted by his wife Brigitte Laurent. I love that Robin is a hand puppet and that Batman has a rubber ducky hanging from his belt.

Frozen Custard
It is not just the custard that is frozen here - it has been extremely cold for the last couple of weeks. I spotted this sculpture by Patrick Amiot outside a gallery in the Yorkville neighbourhood a while ago. He is a Canadian who now lives in California and uses recycled materials to make his sculptures which all have a comical aspect to them.

Standing On Guard
I spotted this fun piece by artist Patrick Amiot outside a gallery in the Yorkville Village neighbourhood. Amiot is a Canadian who is now based in California and makes his whimsical sculptures from recycled metals. I really like the dog in this one! The Mountie is pretty cool though.

A Prince
This is yet another sculpture that I am sure is by Patrick Amiot & Brigitte Laurent, this one found by the front door of the gallery where I found the bird of a week ago. Wouldn't it be fun to have this wonderful Frog Prince greeting you every day?

Wilderness In The City
I came upon this little scene out behind one of the galleries in the Yorkville neighbourhood and was thrilled to find the little bird. I am certain that it is a piece by Patrick Amiot & Brigitte Laurent who were originally from Montreal but have been based in California for quite a while now. It is rather nice that he is seated by the bears exploring one of our native trees!

4th Blog Birthday!
Who would have thought that I would still be doing this 4 years later. I started out thinking I would post occasionally but have only missed 2 days in the 4 years and still enjoy working on the blog so much and visiting everyone else each day! For the occasion, I present "Dog Thief", another fun sculpture by Patrick Amiot & Brigitte Laurent who did the mermaid that I showed on Friday. Love the dog making a getaway with his stolen dogs!

Mermaid
When I was in Yorkville and wandering about after viewing the ice sculptures, I spotted yet another mermaid although not an ice one but rather one made from recycled materials. She is the work of Patrick Amiot who sculpts the pieces and Brigitte Laurent who paints them. Originally from Montreal, the couple is now based in California where they produce their "junk-art" sculptures. I quite like her!
