P.A.T. Central

This sign always catches my eye for obvious reasons but it also marks the location of a full-sized Korean grocery store in the middle of Koreatown on Bloor St. It has a treasure trove of Korean groceries and also a large selection of Japanese goodies especially candies and treats. I wander the aisles not knowing what much of the things are but fascinated by the huge selection of noodles, sauces, etc. The take-out food has always been good too. I have to learn more about Korean cuisine!

Cool find Redpat!
I don't know the Korean cuisine, but talking about Japanese goodies, you should try the candies (milk, strawberry and the fruity soft ones), I love them! :)

I know nothing about Korean food - except kimchi which doesn't sound palatable to me. This looks like a pretty big place.

I wonder what PAT stands for.

Happy New Year.

Being Oriental, I love these stores, and I always find great things especially in their kitchen department.

I wonder what PAT stands for?

This store would fascinate me! I know nothing about Korean foods and I have not seen a shop here in Australia like this offering!

Yes, I see why this would draw your attention! :-)

Yes it is always fun to wonder around a food shop where few of the items are recognisable. Sounds like you take the plunge and buy from Pat Central occasionally too!

I know nothing of Korean cuisine, either, but it might be fun to wander about and try different things. Perhaps you can share with us what you like the best just in case we're close to a Korean market sometime?

I love just wandering the aisles of "ethnic" food stores and trying to decipher what they are - especially when the packaging is in languages I have no idea how to read.

I'm like most of the others. Don't know a thing about Korean cuisine.

PAT Central? It grows on you, doesn't it?

We have similar shops here Red, as you say.. a treasure trove of interesting goodies, but you do have to know what to do with them, that's the challenging bit!!
