Waiting For Summer

During the mini blizzard on Thursday, I happened upon these 2 wicker chairs waiting for nicer weather but I loved the way the snow had accentuated their patterns. The focus is a bit soft because at this point the snow was blowing almost horizontally across this front porch!

It's cool to see them this way, covered in white!

I'm waiting for the summer too... I can't remember when was the last time we had a sunny day with blue sky around here, grey is the colour of the season... :(

A nice surprise for the winter. Don't you think they should have put the wicker inside for the season?

I don't know why but this image made me think of two little gray-haired ladies sitting on the porch knitting sweaters for their grandkids.

Very cool shot!

They look like they have been dusted with icing sugar. Really makes the texture come alive.

Fun how different textures are complimented by snow.

Too chilly to sit out and read today then?!

Jack made me laugh with his 'practical' suggestion! I seem to remember you saying the blizzard was quite sudden Red, no time to put them away. It really does show off the pattern though, nice find!

Soft focus works here.
