Water Tower

It's funny how the sight of a water tower gives such a nostalgic feel to a view. That along with the still active corner store in this neighbourhood seems to take us back to another time. Taken early on a Sunday morning in the west end of the city.

Ah now this is my kind of place! Lovely old brick buildings and yes, that kind of water tower that we don't have in Europe!

A scene from the good ol days!

It looks similar to where I grew up. You rarely see those traffic lights in the middle of an intersection anymore.

Another time is right. You just don't see water towers like that anymore.

I have to agree. It looks like you are out visiting some small town somewhere.

such an unexpected sight for the huge size of your city! I miss seeing corner markets here; they've been gone for a very long while.

All this needs is some older cars - it could have been taken in the 1930s! Great scene.

It does look rather out of place.

Lovely old corner stores, long may they survive.. We don't do the water tower thing over here Pat so it always looks unusual for me to see them.
