Playing In The Street

Another shot from the Open Streets TO event when parts of Bloor & Yonge Streets were closed, this one shows an activity area for the wee kiddies. "A Fantastica Bateria" which is a samba percussion group had set up an area with small drums on the road & pails full of drum sticks. Some of the kids really got into it although others were a bit hesitant to leave the shelter of an adult, as you can see!

You've captured the fun on the street in your photo. How can anyone not love the sound of a samba band that just makes your feet want to dance. These children will learn.

It looks like so much fun! This is something I would definitely love attending with my grandkids.

Everyone marches to their own drummer!

Fun street scene Pat, funny how some kids are just so happy to try things and others old back.. Wouldn't mind a play around on those drums myself :)

It may be too loud for the hanger-on there.

Cute street shot! I think I'm with the hanger-on though... my hearing's quite finely tuned, and loud noises can be problematic. Steel drum bands bring out a similar effect.
