And other things that I like!
in the middle is owl which in my culture symbolises wisdom
I like these odd little creatures and the owl. I can see from left to right, Speak no evil, see no evil and hear no evil! Great capture, and artful design indeed.
The guy on the left makes me laugh.
I like this kind of details, and they are really in good shape.
Gosh they are good looking 100 year old details Pat :)
Amazing what they used to add as decorations to buildings. Today just slam concrete together. There done!
Cool to see these details up close through your lens.
And still very legible too!
Great details. I especially like the faces.
Very nice...I'm thinking the same as some of the others about the faces - speak no evil, see no evil, hear no evil!
Those are great faces over that ornate doorway. Thanks for your recent comment on my blog. I was just having a bit of fun.
I iamgine they get cleaned every now and then! They are wonderful, just like in old churches. I wonder what their meanings are here!
Don't you wish we could still afford to employ artisans to create buildings like this?
So Old Wourld"It's my favorite thing, making the ordinary extraordinary. Ricky Gervais
I like that owl!
I enjoy my visits to U of Toronto Daily Photo!
I love details like these!
Are great, the details are seen very well !!
I like these details, especially the book and the owl :)
The mason's work really is beautiful!
Obviously the building has had good caretakers.
The carvings do look crisp still@
