Fishing In The City

I took another trip along the Humber River which runs through the city hoping to see some leaves changing and wasn't disappointed. This was taken last week on a sunny windless day which was probably perfect for this guy out fly-fishing in the river. You have to realize that this is the middle of the city and he could have taken the subway and walked about 5 minutes to get to this spot!

An ideal scene. Hard to imagine a city surrounds it.

What an amazing wildness in the middle of the city. Fantastic. And, those trees are gorgeous.

Nature welcomes and heals, William. So nice it is so much a part of your capitol town

Beautiful, rural setting for being five minutes from the subway. You sure did find fall colors. This could be a still photo from the movie A River Runs Through It.

I was sad to hear the news about the death of Birdman. Just learned about that today. We will all miss his posts.

Looks like a wilderness area to me. ;) One thing I really like about Toronto is that there are still many natural spots within the city limits.
