Get It Now

One last shot from the Mickey Mouse Club magazine, this one showing Mousketeers Darlene and Lonnie. I wonder what all the surviving Mousketeers are doing today - they are probably all in their late 60s & early 70s and retired.

They probably are, but I hope they remember how important they were to so many folks, even yet today! Long live M.I.C.K.E.Y M.O.U.S.E!

Perhaps they are busy with their magazine collection!!

When I was a kid, I loved "le journal de Mickey"!

I think I read that Mickey was now 70 years old. And let me tell you, that's old for a mouse!

I would imagine they must be retired.

I wish you didn't ask that question. I googled Mouseketeer Darlene and learned that she and her husband have been in legal trouble countless times for securities fraud, shoplifting and other crimes. A much sadder later stage than she must have expected as a teen.

I often wonder what young stars do once the fame is over, so many of them don't handle it well, looks like Jack found out this to be true :(
