Another Stone Church

I pass by this stone church in the west end of the city all the time and finally stopped for a pic. It is York Memorial Presbyterian Church but unfortunately I could not find any info about its history. And of course it was locked!

Another lovely old church Pat, very appealing design. Imagine how incredible it would have been to step inside!

this one looks very much like a church in my home town in Illinois. It's one I always admired. There is something about that stone construction.

Classic looking stone church. Fine Sunday post. Thanks for your recent comments to my blog.

It is made of stone so naturally, I would love it! And it's a very traditional design from a certain era (which I can't remember). I like the way the shape of the entry and the stained glass above match.

Churches were always open once. I remember hearing reports of churches being vandalized or having things stolen then they started locking them up.

Classic neo-gothic.

A church without a website is unusual these days, and its Facebook page has almost no information. They are keeping their lamp hidden.

Good solid building, I hope the congregation is as stalwart.

Wow, this must be a traditional Presbyterian church design, because it looks just like my old Presbyterian church where I grew up!

This reminds me a bit of Southminster United here... it's all that fieldstone.
