The Kingsway

This is the next part of the mural I started to show you last week, titled "Our Community at Sunset". This section shows the venerable Kingsway movie theatre on Bloor St as it might have looked in days gone by. It was opened in 1939 and was renovated in 2009 and still shows movies! I will show you a pic of it as it looks today on Wednesday.
Taking part in Monday Murals. Click HERE to see more murals from around the world.

Just popped back to look at the first part again. Blimey, 80ft long.. that's a fabulously huge effort on the part of the artist. Looking forward to seeing how the Kingsway looks today Pat.

That is one fantastic mural. Love the old Ford, and the theater is so lifelike. Very similar to our old theater in downtown Ocala (which has also been restored).
