Two Churches In One

This is St Paul's Slovak Evangelical Lutheran Church located up a hill on Davenport Rd but every 4th Sunday afternoon it is also St John's Polish Evangelical Lutheran Church. How is that for cooperation! I could find no info on the building other than it was built in 1954 and it was hard to tell looking through a lot of bushes along the side whether there were any stained glass windows. Simple but well cared for!

Very unusual architectural style Pay. Personally I think there should only be one church shared by all religions.. imagine that! No, you're right, will never happen :)

Hello, it is nice that the church is shared. I think it is a pretty brick church. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and the new week ahead!

It is a very pretty church! Funny thing in our city of St. Paul, Minnesota we used to attend a church that is also two churches in one!

You may just have to join a service some Sunday, to see about those windows :)

Nice church. I like the style and the brick. We've shared a church in the past. 7 day Adventists meet on Saturdays so our church rented their building for Sunday services...

It's always nice when Christians can find it in their hearts to cooperate with one another!

Fine looking Sunday church. Good to know two congregations cooperate to operate the church. This may be a model for the future of many churches.

It presents a severe face to the world. Some kinds of Lutherans are like that. Just ask my wife.

Nice. We see shared churches in Virginia. Usually one of the congregations is foreign-language speaking, so I guess they are immigrants with a small congregation that is renting the space from the church.

Nothing like cooperating together

Good idea to share a church. Better than having too many and half of them standing empty.

Curious that it's only every month for the one church. The church where I attended growing up has done that with a Spanish language congregation.

Interesting example of interfaith cooperation and how wonderful that is! Our grandson is leaving next month on a trip to Slovakia, so that word jumped right out at me -- I've been trying to read up on that area (about which I knew nothing really).
