Summer Finch

I showed you a cute House Finch in winter (HERE) when he was all puffed up to keep warm and thought I'd show how sleek they look on a hot summer day. This guy was having a nice feed below a bird feeder and if you look closely he has a big seed in his beak!

I always think this kind of house finch looks like it's blushing.

It's always enjoyable to watch the finches. I have them at my feeders daily. Thanks. Love their reddish color.

We often have finches visiting around here. They are fine looking birds.

A lovely wee bird. It's the summer lean look after seeing the winter bulk up version.

The red colouring makes him look beautiful.

He's very red! We cannot feed the birds in the summer because it draws bears!
