This is the modern face of the back of the Daniels building which I have been showing you the last 2 days. You can see the fencing around to stop access to areas still to be completed. There will be a protected courtyard below the grade here as well as berms of greenery. Quite a difference from the Gothic Revival front! I will have to go back when all of the interior spaces have been completed - maybe it will be part of Doors Open this year.
Oh yes, I do hope it's open for that event and that you get a chance to peek inside. There is such a striking contrast between the two sides. It would be interesting to see how it's been blended from the inside.
It's a huge difference.
Ok, now I do like this a lot! I'm hoping you will be able to get inside!
I like buildings with a lot of glass!
And I like the other side too
Goodness you couldn't get a more different back and front to a building! This new addition will be the perfect foil for many a reflection Pat ✨
Wow, this view is awesome with lots of glass. It's pretty impressive and they have done a fantastic job.
I love the tiger. I like architecture, too!
Gosto desta moderna arquitectura.
Um abraço e bom fim-de-semana.

Hello, I like this view, pretty building! Happy Friday, enjoy your day and weekend!
I looked at the three posts about this building. The original part is a gorgeous old thing. I am not as sure about the glassy new addition. Don't you wish you could have sat in on the discussions among the architects and clients when they were tossing around different ideas about fitting a new addition with the original part?
