Can't Fly

This was the 114th annual Santa Claus Parade here and the Mother Goose float is the traditional first float every year. She is too wide with her wings to make it from the secret parade assembly location to Bloor St so her wings are attached after she arrives. This is the first attempt at assembly but they have the wrong wing for this side so had to do a quick  switch. I'll show you her all ready to go in tomorrow's post.

Hello, Mother Goose must have a large wing span. Pretty float. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

Gosh so many years Pat. Mother Goose would not have been amused by the mix up 😀

She can't fly without those wings so I hope they get them right. I'll be back tomorrow to make sure.

It looks a very elaborate set up. It's nice that people can leave chairs and things and no-one touches them. I'm sure that used to happen here but I'm not sure I'd be happy leaving stuff nowadays.

Mother Goose leads the way, she looks calm even though the wing was attached to the wrong side. Humans, what'w wrong with them. :)

114 years?! Wow. That's a long time. I know they weren't laughing but the wing confusion is funny. And it always happens when the pressure is on.

How wonderful to see the commitment to making this day so amazing!

The tents, sleeping bags and more show how excited people are to be part of this event. Looking forward to the next post.
