Along The Creek

This is the view from the bridge which was in Tuesday's post. This is Black Creek which runs through northwest Toronto and empties into the Humber River which in turn empties into Lake Ontario. When I was a kid we spent many hours in this creek hunting for frogs and turtles to keep as pets for a few days before taking them back to the water!

...it's hard to believe that there are creeks in the city!

This scene looks like your city is on the very edge of winter. You reminded of some childhood memories of playing in places like this and looking for tadpoles and other things living in and around the water. Fun times.

A very beautiful scene. Also looks like it could be here in Kentucky.

That looks pretty in the sunshine. It could be in the country, rather than the city.

Hello,

What a pretty view of the creek. I remember as kid looking for the frogs, tadpoles and crayfish in similar creeks. Enjoy your day, have a happy weekend!

Good that you can walk through nature this close to the city. The creek looks like it has been walled in with stone banks.

I was thinking that it would be spooky there at nightfall, unless it is lighted.

There's a curiously deep quality about that photo; something to do with the lighting, I suppose; but lovely.

Great shot and indeed nice to have such a little creek in town.

It is a lovely view, and I think the creeks and waterways of Toronto are much cleaner than they used to be just a few years ago.
