Where's The Gold?

I haven't seen too many birds lately but did spot this Goldfinch in winter garb attempting to get some lunch after a morning snowfall. It's amazing the colour change that these guys go through - it is always nice to see the bright yellow feathers return in spring.

Wouldn't it be great if we could just transform ourselves like this?

You've reminded me I want to look for goldfinches around here. I'd assumed they migrated and never imagined they'd tone down in color.

You just made me think how lovely it would be to have a feeder outside near my dining room window. :-)

Great shot of the goldfinch. Didn't know they had a winter and summer color. About Davids Cascoigne remark. You transform yourself every day if you want.
