Heading Down Yonge St

I was heading down Yonge St in the Summerhill neighbourhood just as a train rolled past the Summerhill LCBO (Ontario's liquor store). The building started life as a railway station and the trains actually run over this back entrance to the store. I'll show you the front and main entrance tomorrow.

..are Ontario's liquor stores open?

Oh, yeah. Liquor sales are way up here in VA, too.

Hello,

The clock tower is pretty. The liquor stores here are open too.
Take care, wishing you a happy day!

I immediately got a picture of all the bottles on the shelves rattling everytime a train goes overhead Pat 😉 The clock tower looks quite a landmark.

How fascinating. It makes me wonder if the bottles on the shelf vibrate a little when a train rolls by.

That is a wonderfully historic clock tower. Train stations are getting harder to find these days.

Alcohol is a big seller these days here with people staying at home.

I like the clock tower.

The clock tower reminds me of a smaller one at the Ferry Building in San Francisco, a landmark. This one is very nice.
I'm not sure how I'd feel in a store full of bottles with a train rumbling overhead.

I'm trying to get back in the habit of visiting friend's blogs since I have more times on my hands. I've only been to Toronto twice (and it's been a while) but I think I remember this location.

You have such a vibrant city. I would be interested in seeing how the shutdown is affecting day-to-day life.

Nice, when a building can stay, even if it changes "profession".
Yep. Loads of alcohol-rise here, they said in the news...

LCBO is really an abbreviation you should know because it doesn't mean anything to me.

The tower reminds me a bit of our New Mill chimney in Saltaire! No clock on ours though.

I like this scene and the clock tower is very impressive too! The snow pile not so much. We've recently lost all of ours too finally!
