Walking Down

The little White-breasted Nuthatches have such strong feet that they can walk up & down a tree trunk as if they were walking on the ground. They are sweet birds to see during most of the year here in Toronto.

From what I've seen of our Nuthatches they prefer to be upside-down rather than right-side-up. Lovely little beings.

The Nuthatches and Chickadees hang out here all winter and seem to spend time together. Always enjoy seeing them.

such pretty little birds. I wish we had a few down here.
I'm not sure what is wrong with some of my posts today but, I'm not the only one. Several others are having the same problem.

And if a piece of bark gives way under their feet, they just take wing and fly!
Have a blessed day!

Nuthatches must have real powerful toes to hang on like that.

Flying isn't the only talent birds have. They almost seem to defy gravity.
