Retro Flashback

These colourful chairs were a common sight outside motels across Canada in the 50s. I found some this week and they are still made in Canada by the same company. It was a hard decision as to which colours to get but I am pleased with these two. Now I can only hope that we get a few warm days this fall to use them!

These will even be bright in the snow. I don't know that they made their way down into the U.S. I'm glad they're still around.

I think this style is called Midcentury Modern. It was the cutting edge back in the 1950s.

Yep, the quintessence of that era. Kinda reminds me of a stove/fireplace in my last house that was a color similar to that orange chair. :-)
