Nuthatch

I was just getting ready to get into my car when this White-Breasted Nuthatch landed in a small tree in front of me. I managed to get the camera out and take this shot before it bounced away to another tree.

Cute little bird. We have nuthatches here. I've seen them occasionally in Hirst Wood, but they have different markings.

This is one of the hardy birds that hangs around all winter. You got a great shot of it. They seldom spend long in one spot.
