A Heritage Apartment Building

In a city so full of apartment buildings and condo towers it is hard to believe that at one point there were none. This building, the Spadina Gardens, was built in 1906 and was one of the first half dozen buildings to be built for the purpose of multiple occupancy. It has heritage protection so should be around for a long time.

Heritage protection... that is good. I wish they had done the same thing to Honest Ed's.

Lovely - I bet the rooms have good high ceilings and plenty of space.

That's a very stylish building and well worth preserving.

...how beautiful, it sure beats a glass tower.

I love this building. I could easily live there. It has so much more charm than to glass and steel high-rises.

Certainly a way of providing housing for many people in a small space. Makes perfect sense in a crowded urban environment.

Assuming there's an elevator, I'll take one of those on the top floor. :-)
