Construction Finished

I've been checking up on the progress of this laneway house for the last year and it looks as if it is totally finished. It is a nice one and since this lot is a bit wider than most in the area it has a nice size. The city has relaxed the regulations for laneway housing so there are more and more of them popping up in our neighbourhood.

It's very attractive. It looks like it fits in nicely.

It's quite different.

Stylish modern architecture. I am somewhat surprised the deck railing does not extend all the way to the edge enlarging the size of the deck, but that's a small quibble. Looks like a comfortable house.

Caused me to do some reading about laneway houses.

...this one has some interesting features. I like the water permeable paving stones in front.

I like that a lot.

A rather striking modern building. I had to look up what was meant by "laneway house", it's not a term I've heard used here.

It has an attractive look.

The house looks nice. It is apparently not intended that people stand on the overhang above the entrance. Of course, the concrete floor does not extend beyond the facade and the rest is covering and insulation.

Nicely done, and probably just perfect for the owner!
